| I'm Such a Fool I came back from class today only to realize I left my house keys in my room. My roommates weren't home, and the neighbor wasn't home either, so I had no way of getting into the house. I paced around the house for an hour trying to find a way to get in. I also climbed onto the 2nd floor patio to see if the door to my roommate's room was unlocked. I ended up giving up, and sat in the backyard patio reading my textbook, fell asleep for about an hour. I spent a total of 6 hours sitting outside waiting for someone to come home. Then I discovered the door into the kitchen was actually unlocked this whole time. I'm such a fool! We have a bunch of old tools, minifridges, stoves stacked in front of the door, so I never thought it would be unlocked... Working Haunt last night was pretty fun. There wasn't a lot of people there, probably about half as many as Friday or Saturday night, but the clown monsters came to our ride and started advertising for us, riding with the guests and stuff. Saved us a lot of trouble from yelling on the mic so much. |

| 2nd Day of Haunt Today was somewhat more fun than yesterday, since there was about 2,000 more guests in the park. It makes my job so much more fun when we actually have a line at the Screamin Swing, because otherwise we would just be sitting there on our butts doing nothing. Unlike the other rides/stores in the park, we were the only ride that remained open after the park closed. That's right...for 30 minutes after the park officially closed, we had to continue spieling/advertising the ride even though there were no more guests in the park. I can understand if we stayed open for 10 or 15 minutes for last minute riders, but staying open for a whole 30 minutes is getting a little ridiculous. That is all, good night. Woot shirt:  |

Halloween Haunt
So it was my first day working a Knott's Scary Farm Halloween Haunt today...actually it was my first time seeing a haunt at all. There wasn't a lot of people, since it was still September, but it was still pretty interesting walking through a bunch of fog and not getting bothered by the monsters... I actually just got home, it's 3:15AM...it took 30 minutes just trying to get out of the parking lot because every other employee was trying to leave also. |
